A Message from Ray
San
Jose Saxophone Christmas is a holiday tradition for saxophonists
from all around the San Francisco Bay Area (and beyond!) who spend
a day each
December playing Christmas carols at two public performances. We've
been doing this since 1994 - you can read
a history of the event
here.
In
December 2007, the 14th annual San Jose Saxophone Christmas included
193 sax players performing at Christmas
in the Park, and Cupertino
Square (formerly known as Vallco). In 2009, we are moving from Christmas in the Park to Santana Row.
Our
2009 event is scheduled for Saturday, December 19, 2009.
Register now!
Saxophone
Christmas involves saxophone players of all types: sopranino,
soprano, alto,
tenor, baritone and bass players. We also encourage unusual instruments
- any sopriillo, Saxello, C Melody, Conn-O-Sax or contrabass players
should contact
Ray for special treatment! And, as always, we invite
any Sarusaphone players
to join us.
I
hope to see you December 19 at our 16th annual San Jose Saxophone
Christmas. Spread the word!
